On Monday, January 2nd, Loll Designs presented a donation check for $25,000 to the Chester Bowl as the third gift in a multi-year partnership for a total contribution of $75,000.
This donation is part of Loll’s commitment to 1% for the Planet – a group of businesses financially committed to keeping the planet blue and green (and white during the winter!). In their 14th year as a member, Loll Designs is thinking globally and acting locally by donating 1% of all Lollygagger collection sales annually to environmental organizations like Growing Up Chester.
For generations, Chester Bowl has played an integral role in connecting Duluthians of all ages with the outdoors and fostering a life-long love of the natural world. Loll is honored to help ensure this tradition continues. Part of this donation will go towards the renovation of the Thom Storm Chalet, which will provide additional programming opportunities as well as community accessibility.
“Now, as ever, we believe it is important to give back to our community and our planet. This year we are proud to help support Chester Bowl Improvement Club’s mission of creating sustainable, quality programs for the Duluth community to appreciate and engage with nature in a healthy and safe environment- values which directly align with our core beliefs,” says Loll Designs’ recently appointed President, Eric Swanson.
We have big dreams for the future at Chester Bowl, including a major renovation and expansion of our beloved Thom Storm Chalet. But our dreams are too big for us to accomplish alone, so we need the support of the Duluth community to make them happen! We are so grateful for the good folks at Loll and Landscape Forms for believing in our mission and supporting the Chester Bowl community with this generous gift, completing a three-year pledge,” says Chester Bowl Executive Director Dave Schaeffer.
