Chester Bowl is excited to announce that Essentia Health has made a third contribution to Growing Up Chester, for a total donation of $50,000! Their generous support will impact local families for generations to come through a renovated and expanded Chalet.
Essentia’s multi-year commitment to Growing Up Chester has enabled Chester Bowl to initially move from the “quiet” phase of fundraising to the “public” phase, and now continue closer towards the construction phase.
“We have a vision for a Thom Storm Chalet that is fully accessible, is large enough for programming demand, and will meet the needs of the community for generations to come” says Executive Director Dave Schaeffer. “But without supporters like Essentia Health, those dreams cannot become reality. We are so grateful to Essentia for believing in our mission and for providing the necessary financial support to put our mission into action through an expanded and renovated Chalet.”
Tonya Loken, Essentia Health’s Community Relations Director, shared that “We are so proud of the work Chester Bowl does to shape healthy habits for youth that can last a lifetime. It is an honor to be a small part in bringing this dream to life”
Essentia Health had also previously supported Chester Bowl by awarding $18,500 in 2016 for Chester to launch the snowboard rental program.
Inspired by this post and Essentia’s generosity? We invite you to become a Chester Investor too by using the “donate” button on this site, or reaching out to Dave Schaeffer (dave@chesterbowl.org; 218-940-9378) about a contribution.
