After more than a year of pandemic-related hiatus, racing returns to Chester Bowl! The Kiwanis Club of Friendly Duluth graciously sponsored the event. The excitement and celebration for the 2022 inaugural race were amplified by a $30,000 donation from Orthopedic Associates to our Growing Up Chester capital campaign!
Before the racing began Chester Bowl families, cadets and volunteers gathered at the base of the hill for the formal check signing and presentation. This significant gift supports our Growing Up Chester capital campaign by allowing Chester Bowl to plan for future growth and infrastructure upgrades.
Orthopaedic Associates Administrator, Vanya Rickmeyer says, “Our doctors and staff are committed to supporting Chester Bowl’s efforts to create a positive, inclusive and accessible space for all Duluthians. We hope our gift will help ensure families enjoy the outdoors together for many years.”
Orthopaedic Associates shared their photos and their connection to the Chester Bowl community in a recent post. You can read more about their support for our capital campaign here.
Chester Bowl believes that anyone who wants to ski or snowboard should have access regardless of income. The club consistently makes this possible, through scholarships, free lessons, and low-priced concessions. This year the CBIC has already awarded more than $30,600 in scholarships for season passes and equipment rentals.
