In a flurry of winter excitement, the ShipRock Management team stopped by the Thom Storm Chalet to deliver a large check in support of our Growing Up Chester Campaign.
“From Chester Bowl’s ‘Peace in the Parks’ initiative to their inclusive and accessible seasonal programming, we firmly believe that Chester Bowl is an invaluable part of the Duluth community.”
ShipRock Management Investment Broker Blake Shippee.

The Growing Up Chester Campaign is working to ensure all Duluthians have the option to enjoy the chalet. However, accessibility at the current Thom Storm Chalet is a barrier to program expansion. For example, the second floor can only be reached by climbing a staircase.
The $15,000 donation from ShipRock Management will support the development of the approved designs by LHB. Their plans include the addition of an elevator and a third floor. These renovations are essential to helping Chester Bowl Improvement Club realize its vision of being an open, inclusive, and accessible place for all.
“Who wouldn’t be proud to have the most accessible Ski Hill in the United States in their backyard? We know we are!”
Investment Manager Andy Weyrauch

The ShipRock Management team’s enthusiasm and support for the chalet renovations have helped bring our total donations to over 30% of our $1.8 Million campaign.
